LoginStudents Relax under SIG's bespoke Conservatory Roof
Students at St. Paul's C.E. Primary School in Bolton are enjoying relaxing in their new bespoke conservatory, topped with a roof fabricated by SIG Conservatory Roofs through Omnico. The j-shaped conservatory is in full use and houses a new staffroom and a resource centre for the children to carry out research. It has enabled the school to extend its provision by refurbishing the old staffroom into a community room for adult learning, before and after school clubs, teacher training and cookery lessons for the pupils.
SIG provided its market-leading Ultraframe Classic conservatory roof for the job, which allowed the extension to be completed quickly and effectively, within the short timescale that was allocated. SIG Conservatory Roofs and Omnico were specified as the design of the conservatory was fairly complex and their system is both versatile and easy to install. They also offered a polycarbonate option for the roof windows, instead of glass, which was part of the design specification.
The roof is one of the largest to be fabricated by SIG Conservatory Roofs in Peterborough, covering around 73m². Through Omnico's Wigan branch, SIG was able to offer full technical support and expertise to the roofing contractors during the fabrication process and cater the roof directly to St Paul's School's needs. John Charnock, Field Sales Manager, Omnico Wigan, commented, 'It is a great feeling to have supplied such a large conservatory roof, knowing that the product itself is of excellent, lasting quality.'

Both the staff and children at St Paul's School are said to be very impressed with the new conservatory, as it is light and airy and offers the much needed extra space. The staff are particularly enjoying being the envy of other schools, with such a fabulous staffroom!
