LoginOnly SIG R&BP and Kestrel has the answer for Wulvern Housing
SIG Roofline & Building Products (SIG R&BP), has become the sole supplier of roofline materials to Wulvern Housing Association. SIG R&BP's Summers branch in Crewe was selected by Wulvern Housing to supply the Roofline range of Kestrel building products, after it became one of only 5 housing associations in the UK to adopt the 'Leansigma' working business model. That is, that all work on its housing projects is carried out in house by Wulvern, as opposed to sub contracting out different areas of work.
SIG R&BP is the UK's leading specialist materials supplier of roofline and building products in both the public and private sectors. Its supply partner Kestrel is a leading manufacturer of PVC-UE roofline, cladding and window finishing system products. Wulvern Housing started fitting its own doors at the beginning of 2008 and formed a relationship with Kestrel through SIG R&BP in April, when it decided to branch out further and fit its own fascias and soffits.
Paul Ryles of Wulvern Housing commented, 'Kestrel, through SIG R&BP, was the only company which offered training for our staff - all the other companies we looked at offered the product only. This was a huge deciding factor for us as although we have not requested any training yet, we know the facility is there for us as and when we need it. The fascias and soffits SIG R&BP supply to us are also competitively priced and do not discolour over time, as others may do.'
Wulvern Housing has a housing stock of 5,200 properties around South Cheshire and are currently working on a 150 property project including Alvaston Walk, Crewe, where fascias and soffits supplied by SIG R&BP will be fitted by Wulvern's workforce. The first phase is already complete. SIG Roofline and Building products ensure that deliveries to Wulvern Housing are carried out in bulk, once a week, to reduce the carbon footprint of their operations.
